Tsinandali

The mild climate of the Kakheti region in south eastern Georgia is particularly good for white wines. Tsinandali is one of the most famous controlled appellations within the region, and noted for its whites. This pale straw gold wine is produced from a blend of two local grape varieties: Mtsvane (20%) and Rkatsiteli (80%). It has subtle creamy and toasted nut aromas from partial ageing in French oak. On the palate, it is crisp and fresh with hints of melon and fruit salad. A stylish match with pan-fried fish, risotto or savoury tarts and quiches.
